On Thursday, July 7th, the first information and training day, dedicated to powder coatings and organized for about 20 Italian customers, was held in Arsonsisi’s Verbania plant.
The first part of the meeting was characterized by the presentation of the Arsonsisi reality and an informative overview of the integrated range of liquid, powder and e-coatings in the main industrial markets.
The subject was innovative products, such as ANTHERM athermic powder coatings that allow obtaining good UV reflection in dark colours, IONatura antiseptic and UV coatings, unsaturated polyester paints for internal and external use with good chemical resistance and short curing times.
In spite of the industrialization of UV powder coatings not being ready yet, Arsonsisi has been co-operating for over three years with Anver (Italian National Association of Industrial Coaters) and with some customers to promote the use of these products.
““The market is almost non-existent, there is potential in UV powders, but the limit is in the spread of the systems that hampers the development of the range.” Explains Alberto Benevelli, Arsonsisi Powder Coatings Technical Manager.

In the afternoon activities concentrated on the training, dedicated to the technical aspects connected to the various production phases and the application of powder coatings.
The participants, divided into two groups, visited Arsonsisi’s plant in Verbania, where they learnt how the complete production cycle of powder coatings works, starting from the procurement of raw materials to quality control.

Mandatory stop was the R&D lab, where product research and development, as well as the fulfilment of sample orders are carried out. Another opportunity to understand customers’ requirements better and propose new solutions.
The visit concluded with a demonstration of how to apply powder on powder with a new primer, whose anti-corrosion performance exceeds the performance of typical primers currently on the market.
It is a non-traditional and innovative cycle that Arsonsisi is promoting with superb results.

The day was characterized by a friendly atmosphere, helped also by a pleasant lunch break on Feriolo lakeside, with the complicity of the sun and holiday landscape.
